Dubai Golf, which manages the three leading golf clubs in the Middle East – Emirates Golf Club, Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club and Almouj Golf in Muscat, Oman – has chosen Jacobsen to supply golf course maintenance equipment and golf cars in 2016. This is in addition to the existing five-year preferred supplier agreement between Dubai Golf and local Jacobsen dealer, Luxury Carts Arabia.

More than 85 per cent of the machinery used by Dubai Golf across all three golf courses is supplied by Jacobsen, and Craig Haldane, director of Golf Course Maintenance at Dubai Golf, is pleased with the results. He said:“Our partnership with Jacobsen goes back many years. Dubai Golf and Jacobsen share the same values on customer care, quality and reliability. The partnership between the two companies is going from strength to strength because we share a mutual understanding of each other’s needs. The Jacobsen equipment we use on the Dubai Golf courses are able to cope with the conditions in the Middle East and they do a superb job for us.

“Dubai Golf prides itself on providing golfers with the best possible golfing experience available in the region. A huge part of this is making sure that the playing conditions are constantly improving year on year.

“We have been able to achieve this due to a number of reasons, and I believe that the equipment we have selected goes a long way in helping us achieve this.”

Scott Forrest, Jacobsen’s International Business Development Manager, commented on the company’s success in Dubai, saying: “Jacobsen is delighted to have been successful in retaining the contract with Dubai Golf. They own three prestigious golf courses in the area which we have had the privilege of supplying Jacobsen equipment to over the years. We appreciate the continued support from Dubai Golf and look forward to building upon our strong relationship with it moving forwards.”

Emirates Golf Club is home to the Omega Dubai Desert Classic and the Omega Dubai Ladies Masters.

It was also the first golf club in the MENA region to receive GEO certification.
