Jacobsen, the renowned manufacturer of turf maintenance equipment, will be introducing the highly anticipated GA600 aerator at BTME 2017 in Harrogate. Also on the stand at the exhibition will be the HR800 wide-area rotary mower and the new Smithco XL 7000 greens roller.

The GA600 aerator is the first in a range of brand-new aeration equipment from Jacobsen. A unique feature of the GA600 is the AerStrike™ 4 Tine attachment system which enables deep and conventional tine aeration in the same pass.

The deep tine aerator can work up to 3.4 km/h at a working depth of 30cm and a width of 1.8m. If used with the available AerStrike™ 4 Tine attachment system, the GA600 is capable of working at 1.6 – 2.4 km/h to produce 5 – 7.5cm diamond spacing. The AerStrike™ system spaces out tines whilst achieving tight patterns without the need for a turf guard.

The patented PerfectStrike™ tine arm motion provides perfect entry and exit of tines. Coupled with cluster tine heads keeping tines at a distance to reduce tearing of the turf, the GA600 produces unrivalled hole quality. The truly versatile unit makes it perfect for use on greens, fairways and sports fields.

Also debuting on the Jacobsen stand at BTME is the HR800 wide-area rotary mower. Weighing nearly 900kg less than its competitors, the 16-foot mower is the machine of choice for sports fields, parks and green spaces, schools, sports fields, airports, commercial grounds and golf courses.

The HR800 is powered by a reliable 74.3 hp Kubota® engine and sets a new efficiency and power-to-weight ratio standard. That efficiency, combined with a massive cutting capacity of up to 17-acres per hour, makes the HR800 the ideal mower for customers who want to spend less time, labour and fuel maintaining large areas of grass.

The new Smithco XL 7000 greens’ roller features the widest available rolling width of 70”. Powered by a 16hp Vanguard engine, the productive roller is able to work at a ground speed of 14mph. The independent articulating roller heads produce a wider and more stable ride. Other benefits including a three-roller independent driving system, direct drive and power steering, and no chain maintenance ensures the bar has been raised with the introduction of the new Smithco XL 7000 greens’ roller.

As one of the groundcare industry’s major manufacturing companies, Jacobsen will also be showcasing other grounds maintenance mowers plus Cushman utility vehicles, Iseki tractors and turf maintenance equipment from the Turfco and Ryan brands.

Stand: M19
