Industry leader Toro has launched two new products for 2024: a turf-based precision spray GPS system that even works in remote areas outside of satellite range and the company’s first-ever passenger buggy. Here we detail their key features.

Toro’s Vista passenger buggy and Geolink precision spray system that can be used with the Toro Multi Pro 5800 and Multi Pro 1750 sprayers were two product launches that made quite the impression this year at BTME, showcasing the latest technology from Toro the industry has to offer.

If you missed the event, or if seeing these products in person left you eager to learn more, you’re in luck.

Here we detail some of the Toro products’ key features that make them stand out from the crowd.

Toro GeoLink

A revolutionary new way to use GPS technology, the Toro GeoLink system takes efficiency to new heights.

The industry’s first turf-based precision spray system, the GeoLink can be used with any Toro Multi Pro 5800 and Multi Pro 1750 sprayers, benefitting turf professionals with its accuracy down to 2cms, easy-to-understand reporting and impressive chemical savings.

Optimum precision with real-time location information

Using Real Time Kinematic (RTK) correction technology and its brand new AGS-2 receiver, this sophisticated communication system receives signals from four different groups of satellites known as constellations that provide precise location information.

Save time with Auto Steer technology

The Autosteer feature, which provides steering guidance control, makes it easy to operate the sprayer consistently and skilfully with centimetre-level accuracy.

This technology proves to be a huge timesaver, ensuring there is never any overlap by using the full boom width on every pass and with the nudge feature you can move your pre-set guidelines to alleviate wheel marks.

Machine-to-machine communication provides seamless operations

New machine-to-machine communication allows your MultiPro machines to speak directly to each other using WiFi, making life easier when using multiple machines for a single job. They can share information in real time, preventing overlap and saving time – one machine can simply pick up where the last left off.

Internet connectivity is ideal for remote locations

It’s no secret that for some golf courses in remote areas, phone signal can be patchy at best, but this is no problem for the GeoLink which enables machines to connect directly to the internet to pull down the information it needs for course correction. With the Skybridge optional fallback features, users with spotty service are even more protected as the machine can continue to work even if they fall outside of satellite range.

Toro Vista

Toro is entering a new market with its first ever range of passenger vehicles: the Vista. Now your customers get to experience first-hand the quality and smooth ride of Toro too, available in four, six and eighth passenger configurations.

A frame designed for durability

The Vista’s sturdy frame design stems from decades of success with Workman utility vehicles, specifically designed to handle both passengers and cargo. Instead of extending golf cart frames, which can lead to a bent frame when heavy loads are added, its ground up design factors in the importance of durability over years of use.

Ergonomic design for passenger comfort

When it comes to comfort for both passengers and the driver, this buggy is hard to top, with independent suspension, an ergonomic design with spacious seating and plenty of legroom.  There are several accessories available to further enhance the comfort of the Vista, including an optional canopy for weather protection and a folding windscreen.

HyperCell™ battery technology optimises Vista’s performance and run-time

The Vista comes standard with two HyperCell batteries.

With Toro’s proprietary lithium-ion battery technology, no special charging station is needed, the buggy comes equipped with an on-board 900W smart charger – a convenient charging solution that gives the Vista the capability to plug into any standard electrical socket.

Clever storage lets you carry more

The Vista can carry four, six or eight passengers, but that’s not all. With plenty of storage room, it’s ideal for transporting cargo too. Its standard, fold-down rear seats are designed with both grip texture and a lip around the edge to hold items in place during transport. There’s also the optional additional feature of a lightweight cargo bed for luggage.
