The Manor Golf Club is a rolling parkland course with stunning views across the countryside. It has been running a ProFlex 120 on site for 15 years and absolutely wouldn’t look back. Jack Foulds, head greenkeeper, said: “As you will see the old machinery is very old, but remarkably it still keeps running after all this time. For this reason when I was finally budgeted to have new equipment last year the obvious choice for me was to opt for another ProFlex 120 due to its reliability, anti scalp contour following and superb quality of cut. Running two together has been great, we also love the new features and really noticed the reduced noise on the newer model.”

Developed and tested over several years, the new maintenance-free blade spindle is completely interchangeable with a greased spindle that is found on earlier models, the same spindle housing is used providing wide spacing between the bearings, ensuring low bearing loading and long service life. Maintenance-free blade spindles not only provide peace of mind concerning a missed service, they also reduce overall maintenance time and costs. A little known secret is an opening above the spindle which aids distribution of grass and even in damp conditions is second to none. Thanks to this feature that draws the air, it creates a vacuum type effect that then disperses the clippings out almost like a mist.

Another feature you will find on the ProFlex 120 is the industry exclusive Pro Lift-N-Turn™ system which allows the operator to temporarily raise the decks off the ground without stopping and with the PTO still engaged; all without fear of doing any component damage or impacting belt life.
