British-based sprayer manufacturer Team Sprayers is reporting excellent sales of its pedestrian self-propelled Vixen sprayer into a number of Premiership football clubs including Manchester United, Liverpool and Everton through dealer Cheshire Turf Machinery. The Vixen has long been a bestseller in the Team Sprayers range and was specifically designed with sports pitches in mind.

Team managing director Danny Hubbard said: “We are delighted that such high-profile clubs are choosing to use the Vixen. It’s the ideal sprayer to use on pitches, being a 24V self-propelled unit it is silent and there is no risk of oil or fuel spillages. We are always looking to improve our machinery as the market continually strives for performance of surface. We are focused on designing and delivering efficient and accurate sprayers and the Vixen is no exception, it’s great to know that the hard work that goes into developing our sprayers is paying off as demand increases.”

Peter McGreevy of Cheshire Turf Machinery (CTM), who sell the Team range, added: “The Vixen is a highly manoeuvrable sprayer which is ideal for greenkeepers who want an efficient, reliable low-ground pressure application. It features a robust and simple design and a powerful drive motor, with the option to spray in either forward or reverse direction.  Low ground pressure tyres come as standard while an efficient axle differential eliminates the chance of turf scuffing. The fact that it is British built is a bonus!”

The Vixen Sprayer also features three sectional boom isolation, adjustable pressure and high flow tank agitation all controlled from the control handle and a spray application rate of up to 600l/ha with either the three or four metre spray boom. The Vixen is equally effective in forward or reverse mode making it ideal for areas of limited access. Spring loaded break-back booms protect against accidental damage. The 140l polythene tank means less frequent refilling and, of course, no more sore shoulders from carrying a knapsack sprayer! The standard three metre welded steel section boom offers the flexibility of one, two or three metre spray widths and the triple nozzle assemblies are colour coded and fitted with anti-drip check valves.
